When dental decay occurs, the enamel and dentine of a tooth become softened by acid attack, producing a cavity (hole).If the decay is not too serious, we will remove all the decay and restore the tooth with a white (tooth coloured) filling.

We can safely replace silver amalgam fillings with white tooth coloured fillings which will allow the tooth to take on a more natural look.

A variety of white filling materials can be used depending on whether it appearance or strength  or both that need to be emphasised. We will guide you on your choices.
